Translation of documents from and to Dutch

Dutch translation

ATT Translations offers the services of experienced and professional Dutch translators of various subjects and specialisations. They are all able to produce high-quality, professional translations of standard and non-standard specialist texts in their field of specialisation. The main task of our technical translation company is to bring together and direct the various experts in the translation field in the right direction. The next important task is to supervise the translation process and the subsequent editing of the completed translation, the so-called revision of the translation by an editor.

We have been performing translations of various complexity levels since 2001. Over these years we have taken part in many translation projects, many of them involving the Dutch language. Besides that, we have done translations from Russian into Dutch or vice versa from Dutch into Russian and all kinds of other language pairs: from Dutch to Chinese, from Kazakh to Dutch, from Dutch to Czech and many others.

In each area of specialization, we do not simply try to employ a specialist translator-philologist, but rather a person who has significant experience in the chosen speciality. For example, a music specialist is unlikely to be able to translate a charter or a non-disclosure agreement. A builder or a mechanic will be useless in translating an article about a toothache. Apart from knowing the foreign language, in this case, Dutch, you need a good command of a vast database of specialised terminology to be used and applied to the project in question. A non-native speaker of Dutch is unlikely to be able to translate Dutch well, and translating into Russian is best done by a Russian-speaking translator who knows how to pick the right term or vocabulary to describe the information precisely.

What are the most common orders?

If we exclude purely notarial translations of documents, the majority of our technical orders are in the field of agriculture. We worked for a long time with a Dutch greenhouse company before their company went bankrupt. Even nowadays remnants of this company and their Russian partners frequently ask for turnkey translations of commercial business proposals for the production and supply of greenhouses and their components. We have also often been called upon to translate manuals for motor vehicles and other agricultural equipment from Dutch.

We translate Dutch in the following areas:

Technical translation
Most frequently these are written translations of manuals and instructions for delivery, assembly and commissioning and operation of various types of machines, machines and equipment; translation of product specifications and technical descriptions; translation of catalogues, abstracts, datasheets; translation of AutoCAD schemes describing technical documentation; translation of machine and equipment manuals and reference materials; translation of patents, standards and other legal documents.

Software translation and website localization: translation and localization of computer programs, all kinds of software and computer games, translation of help files, translation and maintenance of websites for the Dutch sector of the Internet or vice versa, support for websites of US or UK companies on the Russian market. Localization of a product, game or software for another user market is more like adapting the software to the culture of that country, often direct and word-for-word translation can not be used in localization.

What is the correct spelling, translation from Dutch or Dutch?

    • ATT says:

It is more correct to use Dutch instead of Netherlands. The Netherlands is a country and Dutch is the language spoken in that country.
